Next-Generation Pressure Vessels for Hydrogen and Industrial Gas Storage

Our large composite pressure vessels are built to exceed expectations where weight, durability, and safety matter most. These vessels combine advanced filament-winding techniques with high-strength materials to offer significant weight savings over steel alternatives—without sacrificing performance.

Designed for stationary and mobile applications alike, Steelhead’s large pressure vessels help reduce system weight, simplify handling, and improve overall operational efficiency. They are ideal for hydrogen storage, compressed natural gas, and industrial gas containment, enabling cleaner energy and safer operations at scale.

Low-Pressure Hydrogen Buffer Tanks for Fuel Cell Applications

We utilize Type 1 Aluminum 6061-T6 to manufacture low-pressure hydrogen buffer tanks designed to operate within a range of 300 to 500 psi. These tanks are a critical component of ground-based electrolyzer systems, specifically engineered for fuel cell applications. The use of Aluminum 6061-T6 provides an optimal balance of strength, durability, and lightweight properties, making it an ideal material for safely storing hydrogen at these pressures.
