Lightweight, High-Pressure CNG Cylinders for Automotive and Industrial Use

Steelhead Composites lightweight 280 mm (11 in) diameter 250 bar (3,600 psi) CNG cylinders ranging in water volume of 30 to 140 Liters. Available in Type III (metallic liner), these CNG cylinders are fully overwrapped composite pressure vessels (COPVs) with a 28.6 mm (1⅛ in) diameter port opening on each end.

One port of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinder is fitted with a solenoid valve that integrates a thermally activated pressure relief device. Because of their robust construction, Steelhead Composites CNG cylinders can be counted on to be safe, gas-tight, robust, and tough against impact and abuse. Custom volumes are available upon request.
