Our containerized systems (Multiple Element Gaseous Containers or MEGCs) are fully scalable for as little or as much capacity as you need. Lightweight composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) are permanently mounted to a high-strength steel framework. For ease of operation, units feature a quick-connect filling and discharging receptacle at one end. The vessels are connected to the pressure line via isolation valves, pressure, and thermal relief devices for safe operation. The package is designed for corrosion resistance in the most demanding environments, including marine and desert applications.

Steelhead Composties COPVs, vertical mounting, and fire-protection design improves safety:

COPVs have an extremely long cycle life of 50,000+ or more and designed to withstand UV degradation. No decrease of life span over time like Type 1 pressure vessels.
COPVs are designed to not rupture during a piercing event (This is simulated through gunshot testing)
COPVs do not experience industrial gasses embrittlement
COPVs contain a seamless liner design with no welds
Routine corrosion inspections of COPVs are not needed unlike traditional Type 1 pressure vessels
Steelhead patent-pending vertical vessel mounting method protects the domes from damage and protects valving and piping from impacts or shearing
ISO container structure provides first layer of protection against weather events
TPRDs allow for rapid release of industrial gasses in the event of a fire. Sprinkler system not needed
