Our HydrogenCube Containerized systems (Multiple Element Gaseous Containers or MEGCs) are fully scalable for as little or as much capacity as you need. Lightweight composite cylinders are permanently mounted to a high-strength steel framework. For ease of operation, units feature a quick-connect filling and discharging receptacle at one end. The vessels are connected to the pressure line via isolation valves, pressure, and thermal relief devices for safe operation. The package is designed for corrosion resistance in the most demanding environments, including marine and desert applications.

Steelhead’s vertical configuration of pressure vessels offers better Hydrogen release in case of a fire:

Fire protection system will allow for H2 to dump all H2 if a fire event is anywhere in the container
Sprinkler system for containers not needed to due to how fast H2 will dump out of system
System is inside a structure that is first layer of protection in hurricane, tornado environment (flying debris), dust, etc.
No constant corrosion inspections like traditional metallic storage media
No decrease of life span over time like Type 1. Extremely long cycle life 50,000+ or more and designed to withstand UV degradation
No Hydrogen embrittlement in the CPV structure (Metal components 316 Stainless Steel)
CPV contain no welds (metal or plastic welding) in construction
Low corrosion environmental concerns (No Internal corrosion in CPV nor any hidden under paint)
Composite Pressure vessel resistant to any wet hydrogen
Water build-up in the tanks from H2 that is not 100% dried

Container can be dropped in place without crane (via Tilting Flatbed Truck) or container can be lifted via crane with lifting bolts
