John Cronin

John Cronin is Chief Operating Officer at Steelhead Composites, where he supports business and technology strategy, leads technology and business development, and oversees day-to-day sales, product development, and manufacturing operations.

John has 25 years of experience in composite structures, including 20 years focused on pressure vessels. His background spans manufacturing and process engineering for composite pressure vessels, deployable space structures, wind-turbine blades, and other advanced composite structures. Before joining Steelhead, he supported manufacturing-process development for linerless composite pressure vessels and composite space structures and helped greenfield a composite spar production line at Vestas.

Since joining Steelhead in 2013, John has helped build the company’s manufacturing technology, facility layout, operating processes, and product-development workflow from the ground up. He led the transition of pressure-vessel products from prototype development into full-scale manufacturing and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
