Introducing Turkey Tank Tom: Steelhead Composites made Hydraulic Jack for Halloween and it was too cute to burst . . . but guess what Tom’s Thanksgiving fate is?

Turkey Tank Tom is an 8L/2 gallon COPV (Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel) designed to operate at 100 bar/1500 psi. We use these low-cost cylinders to characterize carbon fiber strength and new designs. Our customers use higher pressure versions of this vessel for various aerospace and hashtag#marine applications. Generally, however, our customers do not request the construction paper accoutrements.
